Family Ticket

For families we provide a special offer. The family ticket is valid for 2 adults and max. 3 chidren under 16 years old.

Reductions

Pupils, students and people with disabilities will get reduced prices. A valid verification is required which has to be shown to the staff at the museum's cash desk during the purchase of tickets.
Tuesdays (except public holidays) the reduced price is also valid for seniors (from 65 years old). Verification is required as well.

VIP-Tickets

The VIP-Ticket gives you the possibility to enter the museum without queueing. Show your VIP-Ticket to the museum staff at the cash desk and you will enjoy priority entrance into the museum. VIP-Tickets are only available online at pre-sale.

Guided tours

We provide public guided tours in German and English every day .
It is also possible to book private guided tours. Please register in advance.

Groups

Group rates are available for group sizes of a minimum of 10 people.

School classes

For school classes (min. of 10 pupils) we provide special conditions. For these special rates you need to register in advance. Registrations can be made online via our request form or you can print the request form and submit it by fax.

Photographs

Photographs are only allowed with a photo permission due to copyright issues. All artworks exhibited in the museum are subject to copyright. All photographs taken are only for private use (e.g. on social media with the hashtag #dailberlin). The use of photographs taken for commercial interests or press is strictly forbidden. 

Bags and Luggage

All bigger bags and luggage (larger than Letter size / A4 size) have to stay with the museum staff at the front desk due to security precautions. We do ask for a 1 € fee. As an alternative option, you can also use a locker which costs 1 € with a 2 € deposit fee.

Cloakroom

In order to hang up a jacket or coat, we do ask for a 1 € fee, but guests are also welcome to take their jackets into the museum with them.

Lockers

At the entrance area of the museum you can find lockers. It is possible to lock and unlock the lockers at any time as often as needed. The use of the lockers costs 1 € with a 2 € deposit fee. Therefore, you need two coins in total.

Lost property office

Articles found may be collected at the lost property office. Please contact our staff to assist you.

Surroundings

Several attractions can be found in the surroundings of the museum. On the opposite site of the museum you will find the biggest shopping center of the city, the Mall of Berlin. On the back side of the museum you can see one of the remaining watch towers formerly adjoining the Berlin Wall.
At our Berlin Highlight-Partner Panoramapunkt the fastest lift of Europe takes you up to a height of 100 meters on a viewing platform where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Berlin. For this purpose, we provide a cost-effective combination ticket.
The Brandenburg Gate will be reached in a 10 minute walk.

Animals

Animals are not permitted in the museum.

Accessibility

The museum provides accessibility to all people. All exhibition rooms are accessible for wheelchairs, buggies and strollers. The lift connecting first floor and second floor is situated outside the museum. Our staff will assist you to operate the lift.

Premises

All rooms of the museum are heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. No matter whether there is a snowstorm in winter or the sun is shining in summer, pleasant temperatures will always welcome you during your visit in our museum.
